20
key, metal ends, good six-fold bellows, steel-reeds, metal-buttons
9.5
cm across flats
It
bears the stamp of Colin Dipper and it has been checked and polished by David
Robertson.
It
comes in it’s cute original Mahogany box.
It
used to belong to an old lady, who painted the key-tops with nail-polish.
The
button-layout correspondes to the upper half of a treble concertina:
It
starts with the C on the right side!
It
plays well and extremely loud!
For
size comparison between a 12 key miniature and a piccolo
Even
though it isn’t an Aeola I couldn’t resist this little beauty – and I payed too
much for it;-)
It
has a lot more musical potential than a 12 key miniature and holds the air better…
I
rarely play with others and I don’t particularly like the layout starting on C.
So I swapped all four F and F# reeds
for
a while. I then can comfortably play the fingering of the key of G, while it
sounds in D.
Currently
the tuning is normal, however…
